Ruth Marcelyne Odhiambo's Health Systems Sciences Journey
Portfolio Organisation
Home:
Welcomes and explains the what the portfolio is about. I want for my homepage to be as simple as possible so the About the portfolio is a summary of the essence of the creation of this portfolio. The Learn More button directs visitors to my portfolio to a Frequently Asked Question page where the portfolio is explained in an easy to follow structure. Answering questions such as What is the purpose of this portfolio? and What does the portfolio consist of?.
Next on the portfolio is the Health Systems Philosophy, How Is This Portfolio Organised and Why?, and How I Developed The Knowledge, Competencies and Values Taught In HSS and How I Measured My Progress. These are linked to subpages where full explanations are provided. The subpages were an intentional decision due to the minimalist design that I am trying to achieve. The three aforementioned topics were added to the homepage because they are easily understandable sections for new visitors and provide context for hat can be expected in the rest of the portfolio.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Health System Science is still a fairly new concept and not many people know what its is. So I made a frequently asked question page to be able to provide a synopsis of what health system science is.

About Me:
A biography proving a short summary of the my academics, volunteer experience, and career aspirations is can be found here. In addition to a well thought through Personal Development Plan. For the sake of minimalism, I had to make the Personal Development Plan a subpage.

Year Timeline:
What I am up to through out the year (assignments) and how these assignments have developed my competencies.

Blog:
The page where all bodies of writing I do go. All reflections can be found here.
Reflections are valuable components of portfolios, as they help me express my individual viewpoints, thoughts and emotions regarding my work and learning processes. They also help me to integrate concepts, establish relationships, inquire and explore, and recognize my development.

Continuous Personal Development:
Making this page allows me to separate my professional development goals from the work I complete in my HSS course this helps me track my progress clearly.
