Be confident in your abilities

This competency is about being confident. When you are confident you are able to acknowledge what you are talented at doing, the value you bring to an organisation and carry yourself in a manner that communicates this to others (Kaplan Professional, 2018).
Being confident in your abilities is helpful in the workplace in the following ways:
1. Assertiveness- your action and words are certain and sincere, which enables your colleagues to trust and follow your guidance.
2. Increased productivity- you trust yourself to take on challenging, yet manageable projects expands your comfort zone, leading to new achievements. These qualities are highly valued in successful workers, and employers will come to trust your ability to motivate others.
3. Effective communication- you speak in a concise, effective and understandable manner.
